Magic Fun Math lessons!
Fun Math is an easy to teach, highly effective math curriculum based on play and hands-on learning.
All the lessons are designed to be fun and memorable, so children enjoy their lessons and feel confident.
The lessons are easy for teachers and parents to use, in class or at home.
These are the magic lessons where children really see, understand, and can apply math concepts. They are especially suited to children who don’t like math, lack confidence, don’t understand math the way they are currently being taught, or just want to play.

How to use these ladybird math printables
Print the ladybird math printables (see below) and cut out the individual cards.
You can laminate them if you wish, for extra durability.
There are many ways to use the cards to support learning:
:: Use them to make a number line. Head here to see how to use a number line for math learning.
:: Play ‘I-spy’. “I spy a ladybird with three dots – can you find it?”
:: Use the ladybird cards to play matching games. Print two sets and see if you can match up the ladybirds with the same number of dots.
:: Place two sets of the ladybird cards face down and use them to play Memory.
:: Hide the ladybird cards around the house or garden and see if your children can find them all and place them in numerical order, from small to big, and from big to small.
:: Hide the ladybirds in a sensory tub. Adding counting cards in with your sensory play makes for a number-rich environment which supports children to recognise, be confident with, and use numbers. You can include them with our spring sensory tub.
:: Use the ladybird cards for spring sorting games, sorting between odd and even numbers.
:: Practice writing numbers in a writing tray. Set out your ladybird cards with a spring sensory writing tray, count how many spots they have, and invite your children to write the matching number in their writing tray.
:: Use them to explore symmetry: which ladybirds are symmetrical? Try our sunflower symmetry lesson and our heart symmetry craft too.
