The Nativity Story Part Five: the Three Wise Men
On day five of our story our theme is faithfulness.
Far away from Bethlehem, in the East, three wise men had heard that someone very special was coming to Bethlehem.
The wise men had studied the sky and seen a new star. They followed this star and travelled to Bethlehem, expecting to find the son of God in the king’s palace.
Instead, the star lead them to the stable, where they worshiped Jesus. We remember that they brought precious gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh for the baby.
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
Matthew 2:1-3
