How to use this printable
Print the leaf alphabet (see below) and cut out the individual leaf letter cards.
You might like to laminate the leaves for extra durability.
Leaf letter activities
There are many ways you can use this versatile leaf printable in your lessons this autumn.
:: Use them to make the alphabet. Peg up the leaves on a washing line, in alphabetical order.
:: Use the letter letters to play matching games. Print two sets and see if you can match up the pairs of letters.
:: Place two sets of the letter leaves face down and use them to play Memory.
:: Hide the leaf letters around the house or garden and see if your children can run around and find them all.
:: Hide the leaf letters in a sensory tub and use them in imaginary play. Adding letter cards in with your pretend play makes for a print-rich environment which supports children to recognise, be confident with, and read letters.
:: make a sensory writing tray and you can practice writing each letter.
:: laminate the leaf letter and add them to you water tub. Use nets to see which leaf letters you can catch.
