Father Christmas puppet printables for playdough
Playdough, puppets, and Father Christmas ~ a match made in festive heaven! These little puppets are so fun to use for imaginative play and story telling.
Print your puppets on card rather than paper to get stronger puppets, better for play.
Cut out each image and fasten onto a lollipop/craft stick or toothpick to turn them into puppets.
Or laminate them and they should stand up by themselves.
Add in some play dough! It’s such a versatile play material.
You can use some to make a snowy landscape or Santa’s sleigh, and the sticks on the puppets will stand up in the dough so you can play with your puppets.
Add in a different colour of play dough and some gift wrap bows and you can make lots of presents!
Try our snow play dough recipe, our orange and spice play dough recipe or our Christmas Day play dough.

Hi there,
I cannot find these Christmas puppet printables with the link. I can access others, but can’t see the Xmas ones. Can you help?
Thanks Annita
Cathy James says
Hi Annita. Did you follow the steps in this article? Which step didn’t work for you?
Patrice says
These are awesome! Do you know of any Nativity printables like this?
Cathy James says
Hi Patrice. What about these ones by Joel? https://www.pinterest.com/pin/156359418286740575/ or make some like Jackie? https://happyhooligans.ca/toilet-roll-nativity-set/
Patrice says
Thanks, Cathy. I like the ones made by Joel. They are nice and simple. I have already done the toilet roll nativity set.
Judy DeBono says
Thanks so much. The two kinders I have worked at this year have really enjoyed these templates. Well done.
Cathy James says
Thanks Judy. I’m really happy to hear they’ve enjoyed them.
Lila says
This was such a good way to extend our playdough play. We made “Christmas” color and scented playdough last week but it was getting old. My littles were happy to play independently with this addition (win!) but I was having too much fun to leave it all to them. Thanks!
Cathy James says
That’s great to hear Lila. Glad you all had fun.
