They may look like just stickers and seed labels but these printables from the Sunflower School curriculum are more than that: they’re connectors and conversation starters!
Connecting kids with nature
When a child plants a seeds it’s a very special moment of connection: with nature, with the earth, with another living thing. Inside that seed there is so much potential. Children get to show their nurturing and caring side as they water and tend to their plant. They learn about the cycle of life, about struggles, resilience, and how to bloom!
If you’re joining in with NurtureStore’s Sunflower School then you’ll understand this magic. You can use these seed labels to honour the connection your child has with their seed, and celebrate this moment of birth: the birth of a plant, of ideas, learning, wonder, and a new generation of planet guardians.
Starting conversations
You can print the Sunflower School sticker pages on sticky-back printer paper, cut them out, and share them out to all the gardeners in your family, class or community group.
They’re fun to wear, as a sign of belonging to our Sunflower School but they can also work their magic as a link for our children between family, friends, and neighbours; between school and home; between your group and the wider community.
By proudly wearing their sunflower stickers our children are representatives of the nature squad! I bet someone will ask them about their sticker, giving our children the opportunity to share their news, the exciting thing they did today, all about their sunflower project, and why nature is so important.
We learn best by sharing our knowledge with others and these simple conversation-starter stickers give our kids the prompt to share what they know.
Sunflower School curriculum and printables

It gives you six units of learning:
