We had so much fun making these peg dolls! The wooden pegs costs less than a pound for about 24 and everything else came from our making boxes, so they’re a great frugal activity – perfect for the summer holidays. What I always like about these kind of crafts is that there’s so much playing you can do with what you’ve made. You can put on a puppet show, take them for a ride on your double decker bus, let them move into your fairy garden… wherever the kids’ imaginations take them.
If you make some peg dolls, we would LOVE to see them. You can share a photo on our Facebook page.
Happily shared with and teach mama Craft Schooling Sunday
How cute and creative. This is perfect for a little girl wanted to be a fashion designer or to reinact fairy tails with your “actors”
Oooh that is an activity my girls would really get into 🙂
what lovely peg dolls! And I like seeing that it’s a lady that lives in the moon (we just debated this today!LOL)
I bought some peg dolls ages ago and haven’t yet made them into anything yet.Must remedy that and go and sort some fabric
Hello, just found you through the new linky thing on the Diary of a Frugal Family blog… nice to meet you.
Love the creativity.
Also good to see those picture books on your post about getting lost – I used to be a children’s bookseller and one of my favourite parts of the job was tracking down books that helped little ones with ‘issues’

Glad you liked them Timma Sue 🙂
Hi Cathy, These look absolutely great. I know that Oliver would love doing them. I pass some of your ideas over to his childminder too, as she’s always looking for really creative things to do with the kids she cares for. We really do love your ideas. Do keep them coming. I don’t know what we’d do without you!
