For a fun and easy sensory play idea, print and play with these gingerbread man themed play dough mats. They’re a great invitation to play as part of my Gingerbread Man Unit, and help children to develop fine motor skills.
Gingerbread theme play dough mats printable
This article is one of our Christmas sensory play activities and part of our Christmas activities and crafts for children.
Play dough mats provide an interesting spark of an idea that children can combine with play dough and other loose parts to create detailed pictures of their own.
Materials needed:
:: play dough mats from the Gingerbread Man Unit
:: play dough perhaps in brown, red, black, and white
:: loose parts such as sequins, buttons, beads, and cut-up drinking straws
There are three play dough mats included in my Gingerbread Unit:
:: a gingerbread man
:: a gingerbread lady
:: and a gingerbread house.
Print the play dough mats from the Gingerbread Man Unit onto card, and laminate if you would like to for extra durability and a wipe-clean surface.
Set the mats out alongside play dough and a selection of loose parts and invite your children to create!
