Let’s explore winter-themed number and letter activities with these snowmen games.
Snowmen letter and number games
Materials needed:
:: snowmen letter and number games cards from the Snow and Ice Unit
:: cotton wool balls, buttons or other small counters to act as ‘snowballs’
These snowman letter and number games cards are included in our Ice and Snow Unit. You can laminate them for extra durability if you want to.
Set out the cards with the cotton wool balls / buttons. You can play a variety of games and use the cotton wool balls / buttons to cover the answers.
One version has the numbers one to ten. You might call out a number, or hold up some fingers, and see if your children can cover up the matching digit with a ‘snowball’.
One version has letters on it, so you can play a literacy version. You’ll notice they unscramble to spell ‘snowman.’
There is also a blank version which you can use to write your own variation of numbers and letters on, to suit your own child’s stage.
