Anna, Catherine and I will be sharing a whole fiesta of play dough ideas this week, to celebrate the wonder of play dough and inspire you to give your play a little extra pizazz. We have some new ideas for you and we’ll be sharing some favourite ideas from our archives too. And the week will end with a grand finale when the international kid bloggers will be joining in to share all their best play dough ideas with you too. I Can Not Wait!!

Jeni / the messy mama says
Ohhhhh I’m looking forward to this and am totally taking the playdough pledge!
Today we made mint chocolate playdough, we’ll be making cupcakes with it later with sequins and candles – you inspired me for that! I have alphabet cookie cutters so we can have a play with them one day, and if I manage to make some suitably grainy playdough (any suggestions how to?) I feel a need to build little sandcastles using a little plastic shot glass I have lying around!
Cathy @ NurtureStore says
Hi Jeni! Sounds like you are certainly rising to the Play Dough Pledge challenge! To make grainy play dough I would first make a batch of ordinary play dough and then mix in some actual sand. If you add it in the original recipe I think it will make the play dough too dry and crumbly but you should be OK mixing some in afterwards. What a great extra sensory element to add. We’d love to see some photos of your castles 🙂
